01.22.23: Happy Fiesta Vigan City

Longganisa Festival 2023

    Every late January to early February, our municipality, Vigan City, upholds multiple celebrations and festivals where every streets in the city will be full of colors and loud fireworks at night. Our province, Ilocos Sur is home to many diverse products in just one city thats why many festivals happen in these times. Longganisa festival, Binatbatan Festival, Tobacco festival and Kannawidan festival takes place in Vigan City every year.

Starring Longganisa Festival, it is the first festival that is celebrated in Vigan City every year. This event is well known for showcasing the popular sausage dish of our province, the Vigan Longganisa together with beautiful Ilocanda themed (abel) outfits performing lively street dances with musical instruments. There are also chefs from many schools attending a contest with dishes made from our exquisite longganisa. 

It is always a pleasure to travel in our colorful province of Ilocos Sur. There will always be an eye catching festival waiting for you to visit. I hope you get to travel our lovely home province, there is more fun waiting there also for you to enjoy.

My last Remarks: 

I didn't get to witness this wonderful festival sadly. I don't have friends to go with and my parents are busy. I can't decide whether I could go alone or not. But gladly I had accomplished this project. I thank to those who helped me share pictures about the said festival, I appreciate it.
